        On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966.  The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay.  The photographer is in the transmitting station annexe between 28¼ and 31 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to port showing the open door to the passageway.  Alongside the door are a CO² fire extinguisher, an automatic emergency lantern, a telephone, an electric fire, two job card boxes and a box containing a synchro adaptor kit for dummy directors Mk. 2 and Mk. 4.  An MRS 3, Mod 3 power distribution board manufactured by Aish & Co Ltd of Poole is on the left.  A vertical format negative.
