        On board the Type 12 general purpose frigate Plymouth (1959) alongside the south side of number 3 basin in Chatham Dockyard at the end of a modernization which commenced in August 1966.  The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay.  The photographer is in the senior rates servery between 51 and 52½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to port showing the door to the servery with a cold counter on the right.  A refrigerator is in the corner under a stainless steel worktop with plate racks above.  In the left foreground is the end of a sink unit with drawers under.
