        On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Nubian (1960) alongside South Railway Jetty in Portsmouth Dockyard prior to commissioning on 9 October 1962.  The photographer is in the sick bay between 42½ and 44 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to port showing the operating table in the centre of the deck with two swinging cots close to the port bulkhead.  Against the aft bulkhead are a wash basin, a desk equipped with a dial telephone and with a key cabinet and a medical library bookcase above it.  Against the forward bulkhead are a bench with equipment cupboard No. 1 below it, poisons cupboards above it and a refrigerator alongside it.
