        On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Tartar (1960) in Portsmouth Dockyard between November 1973 and April 1974 during a refit.  The photographer is in the chief petty officer's mess between 67 and 73 stations on 2 deck looking forward and slightly to starboard from to port of the centreline at 71 station showing a settee bench against the port bulkhead.  A television set is on top of a cupboard in the port forward corner.  A coffee table is in the right foreground and a bar with a roller shutter unit is beyond it.  An automatic emergency lantern and a clock reading 2.35 are alongside the door leading to the athwartships lobby.
