A port bow view of the Furness, Withy passenger liner Monarch of Bermuda (1931) under way at very slow speed in Hamilton harbour, Bermuda. Her port anchor is hanging down from the hawse ready for use if needed. Passengers are lining the rails at the forward end of the superstructure and three of the ship's shell doors are open. A mooring rope is hanging over the starboard bow and a thin line attached to this rope is being held in a small boat just off the bow.
