        On board the type 81 general purpose frigate HMS Tartar (1960) in Portsmouth Dockyard between November 1973 and April 1974 during a refit.  The photographer is in the sonar instrument compartment between 16 and 28 stations on 3 deck looking to starboard and forward from the port side at 19 station showing the hatch of the hull outfit 19 (sonar type 170) in the right foreground.  A number of boxes are on the hatch cover.  Two standard electronic cabinets for first aid units are against the forward bulkhead.  An asdic type 170B junction box, a sonar type 177 junction box and a sonar type 1072 box junction and relay unit are against the starboard side of the ship.
