Distant view of a small weathered iceberg from the Kapitan Dranitsyn (1975)
A view from the ice breaker Kapitan Dranitsyn (1975) at the open Beaufort Sea. In the centre of the image, in the middle-distance, is a weathered iceberg. Part of the orange lifeboat can be seen on the left of the photograph. The photograph is slightly unsharp.
On 26 July 1996 the Kapitan Dranitsyn (1975) anchored off Pauline Cove near the abandoned whaling settlement on Herschel Island. It then made its way through the Beaufort Sea.
