A close-up view of the flat-topped weathered icebergs

A zoomed in closer view of the flat-topped weathered icebergs floating in the open Beaufort Sea taken from the ice breaker Kapitan Dranitsyn (1975). The sun is low on the horizon, partially hidden by light clouds. The photograph is slightly unsharp and the horizon is not level.

On 26 July 1996 the Kapitan Dranitsyn (1975) anchored off Pauline Cove near the abandoned whaling settlement on Herschel Island. It then made its way through the Beaufort Sea.
