A small Inuit child in the back of a fur-edged patterned cloth Amauti worn by their mother. The mother is wearing decorated moccasins or mukluks on her feet. She is talking with one of the 'Inuit Territorial & Cultural Events' team in the main hall of the Arts and Community building at Holman, Victoria Island.
On 28 July they were taken to Holman on Victoria Island by helicopter to see local Inuit art and learn about traditional hunting and fishing. Ivy Sharp wrote: 'On landing the 80 or more travellers, we witness a drum dance that has been organised and see local activities such as wood carvers going at full blast because we are as much a novelty to them as they are to us...'
