An informal photograph of the five waitresses and three chefs on board the ice breaker Kapitan Dranitsyn (1980). Taken from an angle the staff are looking away from the camera to the right. One chef is looking at the camera. Three waitresses are in grey and white pinstripe waistcoats and trousers and white shirts. Two waitresses are in red waistcoats and green skirts. The chefs are in white. Behind them is the Italian flag on the wall.
On 28 July the passengers were entertained to an Italian dinner. Ivy Sharp wrote: 'We had an Italian dinner tonight and met the staff serving us. They are very charming and I photographed them.'
