A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary oiler Wave Premier (1946) alongside the aircraft carrier Vengeance (1944) in the Arctic Ocean for a refuelling serial during Operation Rusty. The photographer is on the flight deck of the carrier looking to starboard and aft at the oiler which has a black hull, grey upperworks, paravane arms at the bow and two gantries, one forward and one amidships.
