A distant view of the 27 feet whaler from the light cruiser Tiger (1945) in the North Atlantic off north-west Scotland. The boat was launched as part of the exercise and had to retrieve a lifering. The Tiger (1945) was the flagship of Vice-Admiral F R Twiss who commanded a fleet of 46 ships drawn from six NATO nations for the exercise which took place in the waters off Cape Wrath and Loch Ewe between 16 and 24 October 1963.
