The De Havilland Sea Vixen FAW.1 aircraft XN 690 465/C parked on the forward end of the angled flight deck abreast the forward lift on the Royal Navy aircraft carrier Centaur (1947) as seen from the port bridge wing looking forward and to port. The ship is under way in the Atlantic, west of Gibraltar, during the NATO exercise Riptide III. The aircraft first flew in September 1961 and is a unit of 893 Squadron.
