Full hull model; Baseboard
Baseboard for the full hull model of the diving support vessel Star Arcturus (1975) made entirely in wood with metal, and synthetic fittings and painted in semi-realistic colours. The model is mounted on four tubular metal supports and displayed in a glazed display case. On port and starboard bows ‘Star Arcturus’. On stern ‘Star Arcturus Aberdeen’. On plaque ‘Ship no.1333: Launched November 1975: Diving support vessel: Star Arcturus: Built by Smiths Dock Co Ltd Middlesborough, England: for Star Offshore Services Ltd, London. On long term charter to Lockhead Petroleum Service Ltd, Canada. Scale 1: 100. Model made by Iain L Rae, Aberdeen, Scotland’.
