A slightly under exposed photograph of some of the market gardens at Kowloon. In the middle distance is a wooden building and an outhouse structure partially obscured by trees and shrubs. They are overshadowed by the steep tree-lined hills in the background.

The original negative envelope was labelled: 'Kowloon Market-gardens 6.2.1901'.
