A water fountain from a bomb explosion on the horizon during exercise Sally Forth in the North Sea off the Firth of Forth. The bomb was dropped by a Blackburn Buccaneer S2 jet of 809 Naval Air Squadron flying from the aircraft carrier Ark Royal (1950). The photographer is on board the guided missile destroyer Bristol (1969).
