A stern view of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary tanker Olwen (1964) at sea in the North Atlantic within 200 miles of Iceland during the time known as the 3rd Cod War. The pendant number of the Olwen is A122. The photographer is on board the patrolling Royal Navy frigate Falmouth (1959) looking forward from above the port bridge wing at 02 deck level. The Falmouth (1959) is refuelling from the Olwen (1964) using the astern method and the buoyant fuel hose can be seen in the water off the port side of the ship.
