The photographer is on the port side of the island superstructure looking to port and slightly aft showing the 800 Squadron Blackburn Buccaneer S.1 aircraft XN969 coded 1026/E taxiing forward onto the angled deck catapult prior to launching. The Buccaneer XN971 coded 102/E is next in line for launching.
