The town and harbour of Aalesund, Norway
A view of the town of Aalesund and the Aspevaagen, Norway, taken from the lower slopes of Aksla Hill looking south-west towards the island of Heissa. On the left on the south side of the town is the passenger terminal Storneskaia. In the left foreground, berthed stern-on to the shore and partially obscured by buildings, is the salvage vessel Ula (1912). Anchored out in the Aspevaagen is the passenger cruise liner Carinthia (1925).
