A densely packed crowd of Algerians thronging the south side of the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique terminal quay in the north harbour at Algiers, waiting patiently. Some of them are carrying suitcases and baskets. They are standing behind a rope which is being guarded by three gendarmes, one being number 359.
