Discharging bricks on a sandy beach at Bahia, Brazil
A single masted, Natal registered sailing coaster beached on a sandy shore at Bahia, Brazil, with two men discharging her cargo of bricks. One man is carrying a wooden tray containing a number of bricks on his head while another man is wading out to the coaster to collect another tray of bricks. Painted on the side of the boat is Natal 2 No. 282 and she has a flat transom and large wooden rudder. Five boys are fishing from another boat in the background near a stone breakwater. They are using wooden poles with lines attached but there are no signs of any reels attached to the poles.
