Looking over the commercial port at Bahia, Brazil from the upper town. Sheds numbers 2 to 6 are on the quayside and a new multi-storey building is nearing completion next to number 3 shed. Inside the harbour breakwater are a floating crane, a coastal steamship and a number of lighters. Anchored outside the breakwater are a cargo ship and the Cunard passenger liner and cruise ship Franconia (1923).
