The Aquatic Club on the shore of Carlisle Bay, Bridgetown, Barbados
The Aquatic Club on the shore of Carlisle Bay, Bridgetown, Barbados. The photographer is looking at the viewing area on the end of the piled pier with the covered skating rink and dance floor above it. A contingent from the Royal Navy cruiser Frobisher (1920) is landing from a motor launch and the cruiser can just be seen anchored beyond the Aquatic Club building. An harbour police rowing boat is on the right of the picture. Anchored in the background are two cargo ships, a large motor yacht and the passenger cruise ship Kungsholm (1928).
