The Queen Emma pontoon swing bridge and the Otrabanda district of Willemstad, Curacao. The photographer is on board a passenger cruise ship in Santa Anna Bay bound out heading towards the open bridge and he is looking south. The pontoon bridge is swung back against the Otrabanda district and a passenger launch is at the bridge pier to take passengers across the bay. The Rif Fort is at the entrance to the bay. On the right is the Hotel Americano and a windmill pump. Advertisements for Heineken's Bier, Lucky Strike cigarettes, Hollywood and Kelvinator are on buildings in the Otrabanda district.
