Yacht running before the wind, an admiral's steam picket boat, study of a sail and a ketch-rigged Thames barge
Medium includes graphite. A group of sketches on a single sheet. The yacht is likely to have been seen in the Solent with the Isle of Wight beyond. The naval picket boat has fore- and aft collapsible canvas dodgers in extended position, with the St George pennant on the bow probably indicating it is attached to a flag officer.
