The village of Eidfjord on the shore of the Eidfjord, Norway. The photographer is on board the Swedish American Line passenger cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) looking towards the Hotel Voringfos which is to the left of centre of the picture. In the centre is a quay and single storey building and behind this building is a wooden building with Landhandel painted on it. To the right of centre is a 3 storey building with a quay and a passenger carrying motor launch is alongside the quay. Number 2 motor lifeboat of the Gripsholm (1925) has been launched but boat 2A is still aboard. A vertical format negative.
