The Alameda Gardens at Gibraltar.
In the Alameda Gardens at Gibraltar looking west over the dockyard. On the right is the memorial to General George Augustus Eliott (1717-1790) who was Governor of Gibraltar during the Great Siege 1779-1783. Around the memorial are four 18th century howitzer barrels. Through the trees and seen alongside the South Mole are the Royal Navy battlecruiser Renown (1916) and a merchant ship.
