On board the Cunard Line passenger cruise ship Lancastria (1922) passing under the Prinz Heinrich Bridge heading west at Holtenau on the Kiel Canal, Germany. The photographer is looking forward and slightly to starboard from the port side of the poop showing the mainmast and funnel. A number of passengers are on the boat deck which provides the best view. The 1912 truss and trestle bridge carries the traffic on the Prinz Heinrichstrasse across the canal. A vertical format negative.
