Flower sellers in Avenue Zarco by the passenger landing pier at Funchal, Madeira.
Flower sellers in national costume standing at the end of Avenue Zarco by the passenger landing pier at Funchal, Madeira. One of the flower sellers has a large wicker basket on her head containing large white flowers. The photographer is looking south from the avenue showing a British registered motor car EPL 51 parked by the side of the road. The building on the left is the KitCat Cha Cafe, Regional Bazaar and Tea Rooms. Anchored offshore and seen from off her port beam is the Canadian Pacific Steamship passenger cruise ship Duchess of Atholl (1928) and she is dressed overall.
