Boats with diving boys in the anchorage at Funchal, Madeira.
A rowing boat with a diving boy in the anchorage at Funchal, Madeira. The photographer is close to the boat which has one man at the oars and another man who appears to be throwing a boy into the sea (see negative number P92934 for the negative taken a few seconds before this one). Bumboats are in background, one of which has a fully rigged model of a ketch in it. The negative has a limited depth of field so that the ships and town in the background are well out of focus. The negative is captioned "Diving boys, Madiera"
