The south east quay in the harbour at Malaga, Spain.
The south east quay in the harbour at Malaga. The photographer is looking north showing the castle on Monte de Gibralfaro in the background. At the back of the quay in the foreground is a line of cylindrical tanks on supports. The stern of a small steamship and a half sunken wooden boat are in the left foreground. With a severe list to starboard is the Italian flagged cargo steamer Araldo (1883) alongside the east quay in the corner of the harbour. The Araldo was deleted from the 1930-1931 edition of Lloyd's Register and no record has been found of her demolition and this photograph may show her in an abandoned state.
