On board the Donaldson Atlantic Line passenger cruise ship in Messina harbour, Sicily.

On board the Donaldson Atlantic Line passenger cruise ship Letitia (1925) in Messina harbour, Sicily. The photographer is looking to starboard from the aft promenade deck showing the lifeboats numbers 11 and 11A under their davits. Berthed stern-on to the quay and seen from fine off her starboard bow is the twin screw tug Salvatore Primo (1902). Most of her hull is hidden by the Letitia's deck. The twin towered Madonna di Montalto Church is on the right and the Peloritani mountain chain is in the background.
