Lifeboats from the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) during an exercise in an unknown Baltic port.

Lifeboats from the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) during an exercise in an unknown Baltic port. Six boats are turning a circle in the harbour while they are all being towed in a single line by another boat that is out of the picture. They are all manned by members of the crew. Alongside a wharf and seen from just ahead of her port beam is a cargo steamer with the funnel markings of the Bristol City Line. A large building with two tall spires is in the background. The location is almost certainly one of the ports on the south coast of the Baltic. Negatives numbers P84371 to P84377 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
