A very distant stern view, taken from very fine off the starboard quarter, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger cruise ship Strathallan (1938) anchored off North Cape, Norway. The photographer is looking east-south-east from above the zigzag footpath leading from the landing pier to the headland showing a motor lifeboat alongside the landing pier while another two are shuttling passengers between the ship and the shore. Many people are on the footpath and a white tent is near the water's edge on the right. A vertical format negative.
