A slightly distant port bow view of the motor lifeboat A from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) under way in the old harbour at Palma, Majorca. She is carrying passengers for a shore excursion and is approaching the landing steps on the breakwater, passing close to the straight stemmed bow of an anchored steamship. By the water's edge in the left background are the Hotel Mediterraneo and the Hotel Victoria and on the wooded hilltop in the centre is the Castell De Bellver.
