On board a passenger excursion vessel in Gaillard Cut on the Panama Canal.

On board a passenger excursion vessel under way in the Gaillard Cut on the Panama Canal. The photographer is looking ahead showing a large number of tourists sitting of the open foredeck being spoken to by a tour guide using a megaphone. Ahead of them is the laden Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company motor tanker Acavus (1935) and both vessels are heading south. There are diamond shaped marker boards on the bank of the canal. The negative is in a poor condition.
