An elevated port bow view of the Sea Cadet training ship T.S. Royalist (1971) moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. It is moored to the quayside on the River Tyne at Newcastle upon Tyne during the Tall Ships Race in 1993. The ships name can be seen in the hull in the bottom left corner of the image. Six Sea Cadets are present on the deck of the Royalist. Moored outboard of the Royalist is the sailing yacht Hoshi (1909) where a man can be seen working near the foremast. A small vessel can be seen in the background sailing downriver. The High Level Bridge and Swing Bridge can be seen in the background.
