The Sugar Loaf at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The photographer is looking south-by-west from on board the Swedish passenger cruise ship Gripsholm (1925) which is inward bound in Guanabara Bay. He is above the boat deck on the port side amidships looking aft showing lifeboats 6, 8, 10 and 12 in their davits. The Urca residential district is on the coast below the Morro Da Urca on the right and there is a large advertisement on the Morro which reads 'Vanadol'.
