A very distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of a Canadian Pacific Steamships Duchess class (1928) passenger cruise ship anchored offshore at Basseterre, St. Kitts, West Indies. The ship is dressed overall and is one of Duchess of Atholl (1928), Duchess of Bedford (1928) and Duchess of Richmond (1928). The photographer is on shore looking between two palm trees and anchored just offshore are four single masted sailing vessels and a few open boats. See also negative number P94734.
