The Caldereta at Santa Cruz de la Palma, Canary Islands. The photographer is looking west from on board a passenger cruise ship anchored offshore. The Caldereta has eight arched openings cut into the side of the former volcano in a line just above sea level, the purpose for these openings being unknown.
