Australian Navy warships in Farm Cove, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
A distant view of Australian Navy warships in Farm Cove at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The photographer is looking south-west from on board a vessel in the harbour showing the Australian Navy sloops Yarra (1935) and Swan (1936) at moorings in Farm Cove, seen from abaft the port beam. One of the Australian Navy heavy cruisers, either the Australia (1927) or the Canberra (1927), is at anchor in Farm Cove and is seen from just ahead of her starboard beam. She has an awning rigged over the quarterdeck and her crane jib is raised. The funnels, masts and bridge top of the Royal Navy heavy cruiser Dorsetshire (1929) can be seen above the shed on wharf 2 at Circular Quay on the right.
