Three manual lifeboats alongside the aft accommodation ladder on the starboard side of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored in a Norwegian fjord.

Three manual lifeboats alongside the aft accommodation ladder on the starboard side of the Orient Line cruise ship Orion (1935) anchored in a Norwegian fjord. The photographer is looking down and forward from the main deck showing lifeboat number 3 inboard, number 4 in the centre and number 6 outboard. They are manned almost entirely by passengers and are getting ready for a race between them. One of the ship's motor lifeboats is outboard of these three getting ready to tow the boats away from the ship. Negatives numbers P84420 to P84439 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
