A distant starboard quarter view of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) anchored and moored in the Saltsjon at Stockholm, Sweden. She has an accommodation ladder rigged aft and lifeboat 19 has been launched. A small steam passenger launch named Tekla and an unidentified steam tug are under way in the foreground. Gamla Stan and the spires of the Riddarholm and German churches is on the left. The district of Norrmalm is on the right and in the background is a rectangular lattice steel structure with small towers at each corner. The photographer is on board the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation company cruise ship Stratheden (1937).
