A slightly distant port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) at anchor and moored in the Saltsjon at Stockholm, Sweden. Both her anchors are deployed and she has an accommodation ladder rigged aft with one of her boats alongside it. A lighter is alongside amidships. The photographer is looking north-west from an elevated position near the Sodermalm wharves showing the dome of the Skeppsholmen Church, built in 1849, beyond the ship and the quays of Gamla Stan are on the left. The negative is slightly out of focus.
