A port bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the Royal Navy battlecruiser Renown (1916) anchored at Alexandria, Egypt. She has both anchors deployed, an accommodation ladder is rigged to her quarterdeck, she has boat booms in position and two of her boats are swung out under their davits. She is dressed overall and a light cruiser is in the right background. In the left background is a 2-funnelled passenger ship which is also dressed overall. A vertical format negative.
