A close detail of two lascars working on the port anchor of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) while at moorings in an unknown port. One of the men is standing on the forecastle deck leaning over the rail and lowering a paint pot on a line to another man who is standing on the anchor which is still housed in its hawse. A rope ladder is hanging over the bow just forward of the anchor. A vertical format negative.
