On board the Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship Duchess of Atholl (1928) under way in the North Atlantic with the Cunard White Star Line passenger liner Queen Mary (1936) on the horizon. The photographer is looking forward from the face of the superstructure showing passengers and a few crew members looking ahead, some using binoculars, to watch the Queen Mary as she passes across the ship's bow taking a reciprocal course. Lifeboat number 2 is on the left of the picture. Negatives numbers P84880, P85438 and P85439 were taken on the same occasion.
