A starboard bow view of the houseboat Mermaid (1888) moored to the bank in Conyer Creek off the Swale, Kent, near the Ship Inn. She is a former spritsail barge. The stern of the houseboat Persevere (1889) is on the left and she was a motor barge converted from a spritsail barge. Negatives numbers PM2391/2 to PM2394/21 were taken on the same occasion.
