A distant starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the spritsail barges Repertor (1924), Xylonite (1926) and Ironsides (1900) under sail off Southend before the start of the 1981 Southend Match. They are all on the starboard tack. The Repertor has a Crowned Head logo on her topsail, the logo on the topsail of the Xylonite is the Prospect of Whitby and the logo of the Ironsides are the letters RDL.
