A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Steam Navigation Company passenger liner Cuzco (1871) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames.

A port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Orient Steam Navigation Company passenger liner Cuzco (1871) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has a short funnel and yards on her fore and main masts but not on the mizzen mast. She is flying the Blue Peter and her company houseflag. The date of this negative is suspect. The photographer has scratched this date on the negative but the book "Orient Line - A Fleet History" by Peter Newall, published in 2004 (ISBN 1 901703 46 0) writes that the Cuzco was re-engined, her funnel was heightened and the yards were removed from her masts in the period 17.8.1887 to 21.1.1888.
